Obtaining a Licence Check Code

From 8th June 2015 the paper counterpart of your driving licence will no longer be valid. Therefore, in order to hire a vehicle you will need to produce a Licence Check Code from the DVLA so we can verify your details.

This is a simple process that is carried out online and just requires you to enter your driving licence number, National Insurance number, and your postcode into the Gov.uk website. You will be able to view all of your licence information online and will be given the option to “Share your licence code”.

Just click on the button to create a code and you will be given a code that is valid for 21 days (remember to make sure your code is still valid before you come to see us).

Then all you need to do is bring us a valid licence code, your driving licence and a utility bill when you come to collect your hire vehicle.

For more information and to obtain your licence check code please visit www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence.
