Q: WHAT VEHICLES CAN I DRIVE?

A: All of our vehicles can be driven on a full standard uk driving licence

Q: WHAT IF I HAVE POINTS ON MY LICENCE?

A: We can accept no more than 8 points depending on the driving offence

Q: HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO DRIVE YOUR VANS?

A: between the ages of 21 & 75

Q: WHAT DOCUMENTS DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME?

A: Full UK driving licence . 2nd proof of address upto 3 months old  i.e bank statement, utility Bill, official letter or council tax bill. wage slips with name and address on are also excepted. and a printed DVLA Licence summary or check code (NI number will be needed if DVLA code is unattainable)

Q: HOW LONG DO I NEED TO HAVE HELD A LICENCE FOR?

A: Drivers must have a full UK driving licence for 1 years or more 

Q: CAN I HIRE A VAN FOR JUST A FEW HOURS?

A: We do offer half day (4.5 hours) Rental periods Monday to Thursday. 8am-12:30 or 12:30-5pm. Over night hire can be arrange. 

Q: CAN I TAKE A VEHICLE ABROAD?

A:UK only

Q: WHAT ARE YOUR HIRE TIMES?

A: Our Standard hire time is from 8am to 8am

Q: WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE HIRE COST?

A: All of our prices inc VAT, insurance and 200 mileage allowance per day. There after its just 10p per mile (only other additional cost will be for your fuel)

Q: WHAT HAPPENS IF I DAMAGE THE VEHICLE?

A: Firstly don’t panic, give us a call to let us know what’s happened and we will work together to resolve the situation, Depending on the damage then you may only lose the deposit

Q: WHAT DO I DO IF MY RENTAL VEHICLE BREAKS DOWN?

A: All vehicles are covered with AA. The contact number is provided with your hand over sheet and is displayed in the vehcile windscreen.

Q: CAN I LEAVE THE VAN AT THE OFFICE WHEN YOU ARE CLOSED?

A: You can.

(Please note the vehicle will remain in your care till we have checked it in when we re-open the following morning)

Q: WHAT VEHICLE IS BEST FOR A TIP RUN?

A: We recommend depending on the amount of rubbish you need to move a FORD TRANSIT CONNECT OR A FORD TRANSIT SWB, Both vehicle will fit under the barrier. You can take bigger vehicles but we have been advised by the local tips that all of our vehicles need to be booked in advance so they know to open the barrier for you. (Please ask your local council if unsure)

Q: HOW CAN I PAY?

A: This can be done a few ways i.e

Bank transfer, card or cash.

Q: CAN SOMEONE ELSE DRIVE THE VEHICLE IF I CANNOT RETURN IT MY SELF?

A: Only the driver who signed the rental agreement can drive the vehicle, however please call the office to add a second driver to return it. ( please note there is a extra cost of just £10 for this)

Q: WHAT SHALL I DO IF I AM GOING TO BE LATE RETURNING?

Q: CAN MORE THEN ONE PEARSON DRIVE THE VAN?

A: Yes, you can have several drivers. an additinal cost will be added for extra drivers. 

Q: ARE YOU OPEN SUNDAYS?

A: Yes, we are open 8am to 10am

Q: CAN I LEAVE MY OWN VEHICLE ON SITE WHILE I HIRE A VAN?

A: Yes, we are more the happy for you to leave your vehicle in the yard at your own risk. (in some cases we wil require the vehicles keys if the yard is busy and may need moving)

Q: CAN I GUARANTREE A PARTICULAR MAKE AND MODEL OF A VEHICLE?

A: The vehicles illustrated within this website are for guidance only and may be substituted for a suitable alternative/upgrade. We will, however, try and accommodate any request for specific vehicles you ask for.

  • £250 refundable deposit (payable by credit or debit card)
  • Insurance included
  • VAT included
  • AA Breakdown Recovery included (terms apply)
  • Up to 200 miles per day (100 miles per half day) is included in the hire price, 10p per mile if you go over
  • To keep things simple we just ask that you return the van with the same amount of fuel in as when you collected it
  • Please bring your licence, an official letter dated within the last 3 months matching the address on your licence and a valid Licence Check Code from the DVLA
  • Please contact us as soon as possible should you need to change or cancel your booking. We are unable to issue refunds for bookings within 24 hours of the booking start date.
  • If moving home we'll need some evidence of your new address too.
  • Speak to staff about returning vehicles out-of-hours. Due to a high number of recent thefts, we may not be able to allow late drop-offs or may ask you to further secure the vehicle out-of-hours.
